PROJECT: Research and design an innovative new lunch project for kids that solves the many concerns parents have with packing lunches. 

OBSERVATIONS: The market is dominated by Lunchables products which are unhealthy and have gained a bad reputation. Parents who are concerned with what their kids eat for lunch are discouraged and overwhelmed with what they call “the lunch problem.” 

SCOPE: Multiple teams performing Market Research, In-depth Qualitative Research, Menu Survey, Packaging Design, LowFi Prototyping, HighFi Prototyping, Branding. 

INSIGHT:  Research revealed the key motivations and aspirations that parents have in solving the challenges of packing school lunch. Parents want simple nutrition, freshness and customizability. They laud any tool or innovative product that helps make lunch packing easier or more enjoyable. 

STATUS: The results of the research and design phase have narrowed in on two design directions and two menu options. The brand strategy will begin in the next phase.  The product is predicted to launch this fall.
